Learn how you can show your LOVE for this teaching and healing Church Through Estate planning. |

Everyone can make a difference in the world. All it takes is striving to live in harmony with God’s natural laws. “As you give so shall you receive.” Many will answer: “I have so little that I cannot afford to give now.” This is understandable. However, have you ever thought about when you will pass into the next life? Have you planned for it? Everyone needs to establish a will no matter how little is at stake. If you don’t the State will seize whatever you leave behind and dictate who receives your property. A will is your written declaration of how your assets are to be distributed at your passing. It is a formal legal document which must be prepared in compliance with the laws of the State in which you reside. |
A will allows you to select who will serve as the personal representative, or executor, of your estate. This representative must see to it that all taxes and final expenses are paid as well as distributing your assets to those you have named in your will. A will can lessen the estate taxes or even eliminate them entirely. Charitable organizations can be named in your will. By remembering charities in your will, your estate can qualify for a charitable deduction which may save your estate significant taxes. The Plymouth Spiritualist Church is such a charitable organization we hope you will consider as a beneficiary of your estate. Your will assures you that your gift will make a difference in the world, no matter what you are able to give. |
The United States Congress has accepted Spiritualism as a distinct and genuine religion. Gifts to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible from any taxable portion of your income and/or estate, which results in reducing or even eliminating taxes entirely.

You may decide to leave a specific dollar amount to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church or a specific item of property. This can be accomplished using this type of wording in your will: “I give, devise, and bequeath to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church, 131 Standish Ave., P.O. Box 1302, Plymouth, MA 02362 , the sum of $ ________ .” or “I give, devise, and bequeath to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church, 131 Standish Ave., P.O. Box 1302, Plymouth, MA 02362, _______ shares of ZXY Corporation for the work of the Plymouth Spiritualist Church however most needed. |

Specific Bequest |

Residual Bequest |
You can be sure to provide for your family and friends first but still leave something to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church by leaving us the balance of your estate after your other beneficiaries have received their gifts: “I give, devise and bequeath to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church, 131 Standish Ave., P.O. Box 1302, Plymouth, MA 02362 _____ per cent (or all) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate.” |
Contingent Bequest |
You may wish to include the Plymouth Spiritualist Church as a beneficiary in your will only under certain circumstances. For example: you may wish to name the Plymouth Spiritualist Church as a beneficiary if certain named individuals do not survive you: “If any or all of my beneficiaries do not survive me, I give, and bequeath the share that otherwise would be (his/hers/theirs) to the Plymouth Spiritualist Church, 131 Standish Ave., P.O. Box 1302, Plymouth, MA 02362. |

How Do I Get Started? |
We recommend that you consult a knowledgeable estate planning attorney. A will does not have to be written by an attorney but it is much more likely an attorney will not overlook all of the many contingencies or addresses or tax problems as an individual would. This brochure is necessarily general, you should consult with your attorney for your specific situation. |
